More than twenty years of great achievements: See analytica China's amazing success story.

2023:Gain Insights into New Technologies, Grasp New Opportunities, Discuss New Development

The 11th International Trade Fair for Laboratory Technology, Analysis, Biotechnology, and Diagnostics came to a successful conclusion on July 13, 2023 at the National Convention and Exhibition Centre (Shanghai).As a lighthouse exhibition for the laboratory industry, analytica China has been a great meeting place for the industry to exchange technology and know-how, gain insights into new forms, explore new opportunities and discuss new developments. The show brought together 1,273 exhibitors and partners (1,121 in 2020) and 56,864 professional visitors (23,652 in 2020).More than 900 new exhibits, innovative technologies, and cutting-edge solutions were presented in eight exhibition areas with nearly 80,000 square meters in total (60,000 square meters in 2020). The highlight of the show, the double immersive future laboratory space (Live Lab), attracted numerous professional visitors.


2020: Lighthouse for a brighter future

Despite the Covid-19 crisis, analytica China 2020 brought together 1,121 exhibitors and 23,652 professional visitors attended. With six exhibition halls, eight special areas, and a total space of over 60,000 square meters, analytica China 2020 presented more than 1,000 new instruments and equipment, innovative technologies and cutting-edge solutions. The highlight of the show, the 2,000-square-meter Live Lab and Clinical Lab, attracted numerous professional visitors. Professional lectures and high-quality seminars offered insights into industry hot topics and attracted 3,447 professional audiences from different fields.


2018: Once more managed to exceed all previous records

In 2018, analytica China once more managed to exceed all previous records. A total of 950 leading exhibitors, a plus of 12 percent compared to the 2016 edition, from 26 countries made their presence, showcasing over 1,000 novel products within an exhibition area of 46,000 square meters. 30,852 professional instrument users, scientists and researchers, a plus of 25.5 percent compared to the 2016 edition, visited the show. In order to promote the development of laboratory construction, a new Lab Planning and Construction area which presented the entire lab ecology on the site was introduced. Other novelties in 2018 were the Environmental Monitoring Equipment and Technology Area, the Food Safety Live Lab, the Pharmaceutical Live Lab, and the Pluralistic Modular Laboratory.

As in the previous years, the analytica conferences such as the Shanghai International Symposium on Analytical Chemistry, China International Food Industry Development Forum/Shanghai Sino-EU International Forum on Food Safety, LSAC Life Science & Biotech Forum, the Food Safety Quick Testing Technology and Development Forum, China Int'l Congress on Laboratory Planning, Construction and Management, and 2018 Environmental Monitoring and Analysis Technology Forum enjoyed enormous popularity.


2016: Record-breaking numbers

analytica China 2016 closed with new product launches and record-breaking numbers. It covered 35,000 square meters of exhibition space, an increase of 17 percent. Moreover the trade fair attracted 848 leading exhibitors from 25 countries and districts, a 22 per-cent increase compared to 2014. Again Germany, the UK, Japan and Taiwan presented them-selves in national or district pavilions.

A highlight this year was a special show on lab safety and health, originated from its German parent fair analytica. Several experts gave live presentations on different topics like “Lab fire prevention and explosive treatment”. In 2016, the analytica China conference concentrated on technological ap-plications and solutions, offering the visitors not only insights into the latest academic research findings but also the latest industry and product information. Another highlight was the concur-rence of analytica China and China Brew China Beverage (CBB). CBB is Asia’s leading trade fair for the beverage and liquid food industry and co-organized by Messe München.


2014: Another wave of breakthroughs

analytica China made more breakthroughs: It had more than 30,000 square meters of exhibition space as well as 695 exhibitors from 29 countries and districts, up 20 percent over 2012. At the same time, 258 of the 695 exhibitors were first-timers.

National pavilions from Germany, the UK, Japan and Taiwan confirmed yet again the international influence of analytica China. The size of the German pavilion increased again to 510 square meters. The Taiwan pavilion celebrated its premiere at the 2014 fair. It included 12 enterprises headed by the Kaohsiung Instruments Commercial Association, establishing another highlight at analytica China. A total of 18,775 visitors from 62 countries and districts attended analytica China in 2014.


2012: Ten years of outstanding success

analytica China celebrated its 10th anniversary as well as its continued success. analytica China 2012 had 25,000 square meters of exhibition space, a 20 percent increase over 2010. The three-day show attracted some 580 big-name exhibitors from 22 countries and districts. The share of international exhibitors was over 40 percent, underscoring once again the international influence of analytica China.


2010: Continued growth despite difficult times

The financial tsunami forced various industries into a slump. However, analytica China continued to grow: Exhibition space grew by 18 percent and the number of exhibitors increased by 30 percent. The Chinese market once again proved its importance and appeal to the world. Total exhibition space at analytica China 2010 surpassed 20,000 square meters, and there were more than 400 exhibitors from China and abroad.


2008: Important collaborations drew even more attention

analytica China was held concurrently with IFAT China, combining the topic of analysis with environmental issues. The collaboration also meant added value for analytica China's visitors, especially those from environmental industries such as water quality and the recycling and treatment of sewage and waste.

That same year, analytica China began collaborating with CNHUPO. Together, they organized the Symposium on Proteomics, which was widely applauded within the industry. The trade show also continued to make great progress: Exhibition space increased by approximately 50 percent and the number of exhibitors was up by 25 percent.


2006: Rapid growth in size and the number of exhibitors

analytica China continued growing at a rapid rate. It occupied the entire Hall W2 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre and welcomed 25 percent more exhibitors. Meanwhile, a host of important academic events such as the analytica China conference, which was co-organized with the Chemical Society of China, and the Sino-German Symposium created a perfect model of unity between science and industry.


2004: Expansion of the trade fair

analytica China's successful premiere in 2002 established it as one of the most important trade shows for the analysis industry in China. In 2004, 200 exhibitors from 18 countries and districts participated in analytica China. 56 percent of them were from countries other than China. Important meetings such as the analytica China conference and the EU-Asia China Analysis Instrument Investment Meeting were also held in conjunction with the fair.


2002: The first analytica China

Messe München International established a spin-off of analytica, one of its most successful trade-show brands, in China and named it analytica China. The first show was held in Shanghai in September of 2002 and was a complete success. It featured 7,000 square meters of exhibition space. A total of 172 exhibitors from 15 countries participated in the first analytica China. 60 percent of them were from countries other than China. More than 6,500 professional visitors from the analysis and biotechnology industries attended analytica China in 2002.
