Students of a breast surgery supervisor's team at the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, also known as the Second Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, reportedly suffer from cancer. The hospital confirmed that in recent years, three doctors who worked or received training at its Breast Tumor Center laboratory have been diagnosed with cancer. At the lab that focuses on the research of carcinogenesis mechanism, pro-cancer agents are used to build cancer animal models.
