Introduction:

Compared with native protein A, rat-PA has been modified to not only enhance the specific binding capacity to the Fc region of immunoglobulin molecules, but also improve the protein stability and alkali resistance.

It is immobilized onto solid matirx such as agarose beads for IgG purification from ascitic fluid, serum, culture supernatants, cell extracts or interested proteins. For efficient covalently conjugation to resin, one cysteine residue is inserted at the C-terminus of rat-PA.
